A thousand claps for this article! I'm an old-school romantic, believe in traditional courtship and chivalry, but also understand changing values and protocols. Anyone who's single and dating has to move with the times.

Your point about screens/phones/technology is right on--they will be the death of romance.

I'd also put the blame on upbringing and over-parenting, and how it's created a generation of fragile narcissists unable to deal with failure. Good luck getting young men to step up and risk rejection, good luck getting young women to step down from their pedestals.
