A thousand claps for this article, and for echoing my sentiments about dating. The saying "You are enough" may be true, but you're not off the hook. To me, the dating process is all about personal growth, doing the work, and having an aspirational mindset. It's also about having compassion for one's flaws. I'm a dating coach, and my whole practice is based on this. Action + acceptance = dating.

With that said, I do feel there's a sense of entitlement with younger daters. "Accept me as I am, because I was told all my life I'm special and perfect and don't have to change a thing." Not true. As fellow writer Ossiana Tepfenhart once said, to get people attracted to you, you have to work on being attractive.
