Here's an idea: stop taking it all so seriously and personally, cut people some slack, appreciate compliments however they come, and have a sense of humor. Flirting can be awkward and men can be clumsy, but at least give a guy some props for trying. I've said this before and I'm going to say it again. One day you'll get older, and the flirting and flattery will end. So enjoy it now, even with all its ridiculousness.
