Hi Rachel, just my two cents here, but I didn't choose a partner who was a lot of work. I chose to get married at 51, and the "work" has been one of the greatest opportunities of my life to become more considerate, collaborative, and compromising. I'm learning to be a partner after many years of being single, and I loved being single. I won't lie, marriage is an adjustment, but a good one :-)
