I got married for the first time at 51 in 2014, and the adjustment shock still hasn’t worn off. On top of late marriage, I’m also an only child, so it’s understandable why this life change is so strange….but wonderful in ways I never thought, mostly because it’s made me want to be a better person. I waited so long, and now I’ve got it, and I don’t want to fuck it up. Now the key is to mitigate the fear of losing it, with the joy of deserving it.
