I was born decades ago and can tell you that love wasn’t necessarily "easier” back then. You still had to make an effort, clean up, go on dates, and risk rejection. The only thing different about dating these days is that it’s become cruel and dehumanizing, and I blame technology for that.
Love wasn't guaranteed, but at least back then, our hearts weren't broken on a regular basis by uncaring, disrespectful people. Fellow singles followed a code of ethics, and even if it wasn't a match, somehow we knew not to mistreat each other.
