If you want to meet the love of your life, do all of the above, AND date online. It might not be one’s preferred method to meet, but it does serve a purpose. It’s convenient, it’s a wide net, and it helps people connect when they otherwise wouldn’t. Don’t demonize it, use it to supplement your dating life IRL. The key with online dating — and all dating in general — is to keep your wits about you, and not take it so seriously. In other words, don’t date like your life depends on it. Speaking of dating IRL, nothing’s guaranteed there either. Just because you meet someone in person, doesn’t mean it’s a sure thing. Shit happens, people breakup, it has nothing to do with WHERE you meet.
