I'm 61 and fondly remember dating before it became a toxic waste dump. Yes, there were jerks. Yes, there were gold-diggers and misogynists. Yes, there was rejection. Yes, there was heartbreak. But now with dating apps, it comes at you much faster. There's no accountability, little civility, and zero consequences for bad behavior. No wonder everyone is jaded!

Actually there are consequences: Like everything you mention in your article!

Let's hope both genders can call a truce soon, or we're S.O.L. as a society. Because as you said, we need each other.
