I'm not sure how people date anymore with so much fear and contempt. The worst part is that it's become a vicious cycle. As I see it, women get triggered, which repels men; men become resentful about being rejected so they stop trying; then women wonder why no one approaches. Then everyone brings this toxic dynamic to the apps, which everyone mistakenly thinks is the only place to date.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not making excuses for bad guys/abusers/harassers/jerks and creeps, but I think we've all learned the lessons post MeToo, and can stop punishing each other. As you said, a little compassion would be nice.
