James, first let me say how sorry I am for your breakup. I know the feeling, been there, but I got through it — with a lot of wine and medication too, but with other things like exercise, meditation, therapy, journaling, getting out of the house, being with friends, and TIME. All of it will heal you, but you’ve got to be disciplined. As your pain fades, so will your feelings for your ex and your dependence on wine and drugs. You will sleep and smile again! :-)
