This assumes the woman is being threatened or in danger, which is an entirely different issue. If that's the case, call the police.

As for break ups, unless you're a mind reader or have had multiple breakup with your partner, you don't really know how they'll react.

If we're talking about ghosting as a dating practice, I stand by what I said. It's lazy, cowardly, and cruel. There are better ways to communicate than simply vanishing.
