Yes they did, but I gave clear signals that I wanted to be pursued. I didn't make them twist themselves into knots or make them play guessing games trying to figure out if I was interested. You also have to remember I dated when dinosaurs walked the earth, so dating norms were different. Now it's ok for women to initiate and I think we can thank feminism and MeToo for that. I still love old-school courtship, and believe to an extent that men still like the pursuit/chase.
