Your outrage isn't for nothing, and I appreciate you standing up for women, but to call the writer an "essentialist piece of garbage" is uncalled for.

Whether you want to admit it or not, the #MeToo movement (along with other causes that start off with good intentions) has unfortunately become a go-to for any kind of misunderstanding. When misused, #MeToo ruins lives and undermines real victims.

The writer is only reporting the facts as I see it, he's not some kind of predator.
